Eat healthy in Restaurants



We want to make good choices while eating out or ordering food.

Here are my tips on what not to do and what to do instead:

What to avoid:

  • Fried food,

  • Processed food

  • Heavy sauces

  • Big appetizers

  • Desserts

What to eat:

  • Salad, with dressing on the side, best Italian or balsamic dressings

  • Bowls: with rice, vegetables, chicken, or fish

  • Lean meat or fish with veggies on the side

  • Curries: reduce the amount of rice you're eating

  • Soups: noodle soup, vegetable soup, tortilla soup, tomato soup

  • Fish tacos without the side of rice and beans

Additional tips and what Id do when I crave a burger or pizza once in a while:

  • Burgers: don't choose fries or chips as a side. Replace it with a house salad or veggie sticks

  • Sandwiches: only eat one part of the bread. Leave the top part. It's too much white bread

  • Pizza: choose the smallest size and a vegetarian variation, and load it with vegetables like artichokes, mushrooms, bell peppers

Enjoy your dinner out or food once and max twice a week.

The best thing is to prepare your food and cook at home.
