Reuse, Reduce and Recycle

Introduction:

In this post you're going to learn of how to do the three R's. The three R's are: Reduce, reuse and Recycle. This is how you are supposed to do it.

Recycle sign:

If you see a recycle sign on a item don’t throw it away. Either reuse it or recycle. Where do you usally see recycle signs? Well, they are usally at the bottom of the item. Here is a picture of how it looks like:

Landfills:

Do you have an idea of where all the trash goes?? It doesn’t stay in a garbage truck. Your trash bin it goes on a landfill. A landfill is where all the trash gathers. It is very stinky and gross. Every state\every country has a landfill. Well sometimes governors are tired of having a landfill so they give it the trash to other places. The leaders that get the trash sometimes don't care about the trash. They care mostly about the money they get. So they just throw it in the ocean. That's why they are sometimes called ocean landfills.

Reusing Items:

Now have you ever thought of reusing items instead of throwing it away? It means when you have a item which can be made into a hairclip box or a rocketship, then why don't you resue the item?

Reusing means use a item more than once but you use it differently.

You can also be creative and make something out of old cartoon or milk bottles!

Plastic:

Now, have you ever thought about plastic??? Plastic is made out of oil and gas. Plastic is very bad for the environment. Plastic can end up in a turtle's mouth! Please make sure you do not use any more plastic. Or if you reuse your plastic, you can make a lunch bag out of a plastic bag.

Make earth green:

Have you ever thought of ways to make earth green? If you plant trees and do the 3 R's then the earth will be green. But the problem is everyone has to do it in order to make earth green again. Some people don't care about trash and just throw it on the ground.Another way to make earth green is useing less energy, that means don't watch to much TV (even better if you do not watch TV) even if you want to. If you use too much energy the ice melts in the artic and north pole. The more ice melts the less animals can survive. That basically means don't use too much energy. You can also take more showers than bathes. Please don't use too much water. There is also one more problem that you can solve. It is straws. The problem with straws is that there is too much straws in Starbucks or any other place. That's why it's good to use a reusable bottle.

Dear Jenny! I think it is great that you are dealing with this important topic and want to contribute to the fact that we all behave more environmentally conscious! Thank you for that and I am already looking forward to your next articles. Maybe it would be interesting to know which products are available from recycled material? There are already some things made from plastic bottles, for example swimwear! I wish you further much fun and success!
